32nd most developed country in the world. Therefore, south Cyprus is a developed country and here are some
reasons to show why;
1. Low population growth- due to low fertility rate(1.47 birth per woman)
2. High literacy rates- (99.1% of adults)
3. High life expectancy
4. Low crime rates- lowest in the E.U
5. Low inflation rates- (1.7%)
6. High GNI and GDP per capita
8. Access to basic essentials of life e.g food,shelter,water,healthcare, e.t.c
9. Political stability
Botswana (less developed)
Justifications of why Botswana is a Less developed Country.
1. Bad Resources Management
2. Corruption
3. Underdeveloped infrastructure
4. Inadequate Public Sector Services
5. Lack of skilled expertise within Botswana's workforce
6. Lack of Full free speech
7. Tight government control and regulations
8. Inadequate Tertiary Education
9. High Unemployment rate especially amongst new graduates
10. Lack of adequate welfare benefits for those who need it.
