Granting an extension of patent to the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled, That (a) a certain u n i t e d Daughters
design patent issued by the United States Patent Office of date Novem- of t h e conf e d ber 8,1898, being patent numbered 29,611, which is the insignia of the e r a o y .

newed and extended for an additional period of fourteen years from
and after the date of enactment of this Act, with all the rights and
privileges pertaining to the same, being generally known as the in­
signia of the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
(b) No person who has manufactured the design of such patent be­
tween August 18, 1955, and the date of the enactment of this Act
shall be held liable for infringement of such patent by reason of the
continued manufacture and sale thereof.
