The EIB Institute is pleased to announce the following seminar: The New Stage of China’s Economy — Situation and Policy Prospects By Dr Cao Yuanzheng, Chief Economist, Bank of China WHEN 5 June 2015 09:30-10:30 WHERE EIB East Building, EKI 4226 98, Boulevard Konrad Adenauer China’s short-term economic downturn was worse than expected. The Third Plenary Session of the 18th CPC stated that “the market shall play a decisive role in economic growth.” And the 2014 Central Economic Work Conference for the first time systematically expounded the specific content of the “new normal”. Will there be a hard landing for China’s economy? Are there any new factors to sustain the country’s economy going forward? Will that lead to changes in the traditional economic growth pattern and new macroeconomic policy trends? Specifically, what is the role of RMB internationalisation as a backdrop to the “new normal”? Coffee will be provided. This seminar is free of charge, but registration is mandatory by email before 2 June 2015 to [email protected]
