Metamorphic rocks are very minor in Hawaii.
Most metamorphism occurs within the walls of conduits or at the edges of intrusive
bodies such as laccoliths. Rocks are also changed by volcanic gases.
Olivine changes to serpentine or talc.
Pyroxene to chlorite.
Also occurs in the immediate vicinity of fumaroles where opal and kaolin are formed.

basaltic lava flows or dike-impounded water.
Other resource: Coral Reefs. 166,000 hectares of living reef in the Hawaiian Islands.
More than 25% of all marine life is endemic to Hawaii.
Net Benefits = $360 million per year
Overall asset value = $10 billion
Used for fishing and recreation.
Critical habitat for marine species.
This presentation is awesome.
