Congruence
Numbers and variables can be equal. In Geometry, figures like segments and angles aren't equal, they are congruent.
Two figures are congruent if they are the same size and shape. Congruent segments: Segments with the same length.

Midpoint
The point M is the midpoint of AB iff (if and only if) AM = MB and M is between A and B.
Bisect
If one figure bisects a second figure, it divides the figure into two congruent figures. The midpoint of a segment bisects it.
