conditioners, heat pumps, electric water
heaters, etc.).
This leads to an enhanced controllability of the
load and novel business opportunities for
electricity companies by enabling the provision
of control services by groups of heating and
cooling devices.
The vision is that the demand side becomes
more actively involved in power system control
in order to increase system security and
efficiency and to facilitate the grid integration
of renewable energies.
