Abraxas Adds Seasoned Executives to Team
Arthur B. Dana and James R. Williams bring experience across
diverse industries to support firm’s continued success
ATLANTA, GEORGIA (PRWEB) – 12 Mayl 2015 - Abraxas Business Services, specialists in business
brokerage, mergers and acquisitions, and exit strategy and succession planning, is pleased to announce
that Arthur B. (Art) Dana and James R. (Jim) Williams have joined the firm as Principals. Both have held
executive positions in their respective fields and bring a wealth of experience and expertise to Abraxas.
Prior to joining Abraxas, for more than fifteen years Dana was a founding partner in TJS Deemer Dana
LLP, a public-accounting firm headquartered in Savannah, Georgia. As a Certified Public Accountant
(CPA) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), his work at TJS Deemer Dana focused on domestic and
international tax, business valuation, and mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Dana founded a
significant practice serving for-profit and not-for-profit colleges and universities while at the firm.
Previously, he was a partner with Price Waterhouse where he worked with clients in oil and gas,
banking, manufacturing, and post-Soviet-era privatization. Dana also served as the Director of Corporate
Development at Savannah Foods & Industries, a New York Stock exchange listed company, where he
was in charge of M&A and Taxation.
Williams has an extensive background in finance and entrepreneurship. He entered the banking
profession after graduating cum laude from Georgia Institute of Technology and enjoyed a distinguished
career that spanned four decades.
Having served as Chairman of the Georgia Bankers Association and president and CEO of a community
bank holding company, Williams has unique insight across a broad array of industries and businesses.
Williams is a small-business owner himself, with interests in precision manufacturing and home health
care. In addition, he has held leadership positions on a variety of Boards of Directors of business, civic,
educational, charitable, religious, and economic-development entities where he has helped guide
strategic and operational direction.
“We are excited to have professionals of the caliber of Art and Jim join our team of Abraxas Advisors,”
said C. David Chambless, president of Abraxas. “In their respective roles, they have served clients across
many industries, successfully addressing many complicated business challenges. They understand the
needs and motivations of the small- to mid-sized business owners. We look forward to their critical
advice as Abraxas guides clients to the Closing Table – where transactions are closed and goals are met.”
