#Amendment 3 of 2014 under the provisions of the Financial Markets Act No. 19 of 2012
Explanation of the Reasons for the Proposed Amendments
The amendments to the existing requirements include amendments relating to the Definitions section,
Section 1, warrants, exchange traded funds, asset-backed securities, and sponsored depository
receipts in section 19. New requirements have been introduced in Section 19 for exchange traded
notes, structured products, and unsponsored depository receipts.
Amendments to Section 1 have been marked-up.
It should be noted that the amendments are considered to be a re-write of Section 19 as a whole and
therefore the amendments have not been marked-up.
