Call to Worship
L: The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
P: And also with you.
L: Hear the proclamation of Christ,
P: In whom the word of God is fully known.
Prayer of Invocation (unison)
Great God of righteousness, amazing God of love, Almighty God of peace;
You have promised us perfect peace in Christ Jesus. Ease our troubled
minds that, with our attention turned to future glories, our present worries
about ourselves and our world will be dispelled and dissolved into
hope. In the name of Christ we pray. Amen
*Hymn #481
This morning we welcome back, Dr. Sharon Telban as our worship leader, and
Edith Lloyd as organist. We thank them for sharing in our worship today.
Praise the Lord, God’s Glories Show
*Call to Confession
L: The proof of God’s amazing love is this: While we were sinners Christ died
for us. Because we have faith in him, we dare to approach God with
confidence. In faith and penitence, let us confess our sin before God and
one another:

eternal. Forgive this failure to prepare for ultimate communion with you
and yours. Amen

(Psalm 139)
L: Friends, hear the Good News! God has chosen to reconcile the whole world
to God’s self.

*Affirmation of Faith
L: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress?
Or persecution or famine? Or nakedness or peril or sword?
P: No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who
loved us. For we are sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor
principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor
height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to
separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Amen.
