William D. Perry is an associate in the corporate securities group of the New York office of
Greenberg Traurig LLP. He previously worked in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate,
Meagher & Flom LLP, where his practice focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions,
corporate finance and investment management. William has also been involved in a wide range
of pro bono matters, including those in the areas of immigration asylum and VAWA (the
violence against women act).
William is an alumnus of the 2009 SEO Corporate Law Career program and presently serves as
the Fundraising Chairman of the SEO Junior Leadership Board. In addition, William has been a
high school student mentor through the SEO Scholars program since January 2014.
William received his J.D. degree from New York University School of Law in 2012. During his
time at NYU, William interned at the New York Enforcement Division of the Securities and
Exchange Commission, and General Electric Capital Corporation. William received his B.S.
degree from the University of Florida, where he majored in finance and worked as a research
assistant at the Bureau of Economic and Business Research.
In his spare time, William enjoys any book written by Malcolm Gladwell, college football and
the Miami Heat. William is a Florida native, but prefers the northeast fall foliage to the south
Florida heat. William is passionate about education, although at some point hopes to be a public
servant in the area of counter-terrorism.
