Chrysanthemum:\ Chrys*an”the*mum\ a genus of composite plants, mostly perennial,
and of many species including the many varieties of garden chrysanthemums (annual and
perennial), and also the feverfew and the oxeye daisy.
Dahlia:\Dah”lia\ a genus of plants native to Mexico and Central America, of the order
Composit[ae]; also, any plant or flower of the genus. The numerous varieties of
cultivated dahlias bear conspicuous flowers, which differ in colour.
Bearded Iris: any of numerous wild or cultivated irises with hairlike structures on the falls
(the drooping sepals).
Anthurium: any of various tropical American plants cultivated for their showy foliage
and flowers [syn:tailflower].
Fuchsia: \ Fuch”si*a\ a genus of flowering plants having elegant drooping flowers, with
four sepals, four petals, eight stamens, and a single pistil. They are natives of Mexico
and South America.
