FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Air King Introduces Line of ENERGY STAR® Qualified,
Motion Sensing Exhaust Fans
WEST CHESTER, Pa. – January 2013 – Air King has recently added motion sensing
exhaust fans to its extensive line of ventilation fans. The motion sensing exhaust
fan provides an automated ENERGY STAR® qualified solution for residential
ventilation needs.
The new motion sensing exhaust fans are available in both single and dual speed
models, each with a maximum speed of 80 or 130 CFM. The ultra low sound level
and energy efficient operation of the motion sensing exhaust fans make them
excellent solutions for ASHRAE 62.2 ventilation requirements as well as Title 24 of
the California Code.
The motion sensing fans provide a much needed ventilation solution that ensures
proper ventilation. Once installed, the exhaust fan turns on automatically when the
room is occupied, then will shut off after a preset amount of time once the room is
vacated.
“The motion sensing fans make a lot of sense for home owners and especially rental
property owners,” said Jeff Kenkelen, president, Air King. “With standard fans, you
are relying on the user to turn the fan on or off. Too many times the fan is not
turned on and proper ventilation does not happen. This can lead to problems such
as mold or mildew, and poor indoor air quality in the home.”
