Communications Director
Well-established Columbia, SC, business association seeks a Communications
Director.
Experience updating and building a website (at least from template) helpful. Useful
skills would also include publications, writing, design, and social media. A great
position for a person who enjoys a lot of variety and responsibility. A background
in association management, journalism or business would be a plus.

Examples of Responsibilities:
Websites
Redesign our websites – mhisc.com and scmodularhome.com with the goal of making them professional and attractive.
Update old and produce new content for our websites
Social Media
Develop and implement an active social media presence pushing out near daily
content rotating among social media platforms.
Monitor news sites and social media and respond rapidly to comments about the
industry.
Lead the implementation of a proactive and reactive Media Response Plan
involving association members.
Promotional
Develop strategies to promote state and chapter meetings and encourage
membership renewal and other association goals.
Design graphics. Produce videos, handouts and mail pieces with touches of humor
and imagination.
Publications
Produce and edit content, including photographs, for electronic and print
publications.
News Media
Develop relationships with reporters and media producers and become a resource
for information and content related to our industry.
Needed Skills and Background
Website design (at least via templates) and web management skills.
Graphics and design. Experience using a variety of social media platforms.
Writing and communications.
A person would do well in this position if they:

Can be responsible for completing projects on deadline.
Opportunity The successful candidate will receive a salary in the $30-$40,000
