A goal in the 85th minute of play gave the Carroll College Saints a 1-0 win over The Battlin’ Bears this
afternoon. Senior forward Meghan O’Connell would score the winning goal from a corner kick with
minutes remaining on the clock. Rocky would hit the post once and the crossbar twice on the day but
could not find a way past the Carroll goalkeeper. Rocky and Carroll both had 9 shots on the day.
“I thought we played well today and probably deserved something out fo the game. We tired in the last
ten minutes of the game and a couple of mental mistakes cost us. I look forward to playing them again
next Sunday at home” said Head Coach Richard Duffy.
RMC will play next in Great Falls on Wednesday. Rocky is now 9-7 on the year.
