the new devices and processes to be implemented in Austin Fab.
RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
STANFORD UNIVERSITY, Stanford, CA
Department of Chemical Engineering – Mar 2009 – Present
PhD candidate in Dr. Zhenan Bao’s group

Exploring the use of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) films as thin film
transistors; in particular, exploring the effect of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs)
on the transport properties of SWNT based transistors.

Using SWNTs, graphene, and conducting polymer films to fabricate stretchable

cells as replacements for conducting oxides. Enabled the first demonstration of a
stretchable solar cell.

Developing all-carbon solar cells based on carbon allotropes: SWNTs, graphene,
and fullerenes. First demonstration of an all-carbon solar cell for all the components:
anode, active layer, and cathode.
PUBLICATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS

Four first/co-first author publications in peer reviewed scientific journals, with nine
additional secondary co-author publications.

Oral presentations in four scientific conferences, including at meeting of the
American Chemical Society and Materials Research Society.
AWARDS

First place: 2012 Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Graduate Student Award
Symposium, ACS National Meeting, Philadelphia PA, August, 2012.
ACTIVITIES

Professional Affiliations - Activities Coordinator of the American Institute of
Chemical Engineers at UC Berkeley(2006), member of Alpha Chi Sigma (coed
chemistry fraternity) as an undergrad at UC Berkeley and served as reporter (2005)

