CHINESE INVENTIONS BY LUKE
The first clock was made by Yi Xing. A
Buddhist monk and a mathematical of
the Tang dynasty, Yi’s clock operated with
water dripping and a wheel that made a
full revelation every 24 hours. As time
went on, clocks were made with iron
bronze system of hooks, pins, locks, and
rods. Gunpowder, paper, printing and the
compass were sometimes called the 4
great inventions of ancient China.
Also, kites were used for to block the sun
and the rain. The word umbra means
shade. Umbrellas were made with wood
and sharp paper.
Also guess what else they made… The
great wall of CHINA! They used about
13,670 people to build the great wall of
china. The widest section of the wall is
about 9 meters long. The highest point of
it is about 8 meters high. Some people
lost their lives building the wall.
Rebuilding of the great wall of china, took
place during the dynasty that began in
the 14th century. The main purpose of the
great wall of china is to protect from the
north.
The clothes that Chinese people wore
was silk. But that
was for rich people. Also most people in
china have long hair.
Crossbows were used to get food and
were used in wars. The cross bow is
made of burnt wood and string. They
hunted for deer and turtles. They hunted
turtles because they needed the shell.
They could shoot and animal from more
than 30 feet away.
They needed clothes for protection.
