John L. Nunziato, Vice President , SOSSEC, Inc., is involved in managing and
executing every aspect of business development/operations of the System of
Systems Security (SOSSEC) corporation and consortium. SOSSEC is a broad
based consortium comprised of a diverse group of 70+ innovative, high-tech
traditional and non-traditional contractors, academic institutions and non-profit
organizations. The consortium is dedicated to improving our nation’s ability to
detect, intervene, respond to and recover any and all threats on the Homeland.
SOSSEC focuses on coordinated planning/execution, research, development
and prototype efforts in support of Homeland Defense, Homeland Security, Force
Protection, Critical Infrastructure and Key Resource Protection, Cyber
Warfare/Security, Data Mining, Information Assurance, Sensors, C4ISR systems
and related technologies.
Prior to joining SOSSEC, John worked 30 years for the Federal Government in a
variety of senior level positions and organizations. Positions held ranged from
Director of Contracts/Senior Center Contracting Official (SCCO) at the AF’s
Electronic Systems Center, Hanscom AFB, MA ; Director of R&D and Advanced
Projects Contracting; Chief of Contracts for the AF’s Cyber/Netcentric Wing;
Chief of Mission Planning Systems Contracting and; Chief of U.S. and
International Airborne Warning and Control System Contracting. In addition, John
held senior staff positions as the Chief of Contract Pricing; the ESC Competition
Advocate and; the Director of Transformation for Acquisition Excellence.
In these positions John gained extensive experience in Operational, Research
and Development, A&AS, IT and Major Weapon Systems acquisitions
and;knowledge of major source selections, fair opportunity competitive
acquisitions and strategic acquisition planning and execution.
John has a Master’s Degree in National Resource Strategy and a Senior
Acquisition Certification from National Defense University, Washington D.C.
