Your Help Urgently Needed to Save Chino Hills and Stop TRTP!

We live in the once beautiful city of Chino Hills. We’ve lived here for the past 25 years. One of the reasons we moved
here was for the peaceful, pastoral feelings that were evoked by the gentle rolling hills, cows grazing, and horses
everywhere. We’ve watched this city transform throughout the years. Most of the improvements have benefited its
citizens, and the nice tranquil environment was preserved. That is until now. What SCE has done/is doing to our city is
atrocious. We implore you to come out and take a look for yourself at the MUTILATION that these Statue of Liberty
sized towers are doing to our town. This is all taking place as part of the Tehachapi Renewable Transmission Project
(TRTP), which was supposed to be a good thing for people and the environment. However, this is an example of the
green energy movement run amuck. A good intention turned very, very bad. It is extremely bad for the environment
and the health of the residents of Chino Hills CA.
We understand the need for “green energy”. We are fans of conservation and being responsible when it comes to the
environment. We do not think “green energy” should mean the endangerment of others, nor the scarring of a once
tranquil, peaceful looking city. It’s the opposite of environmental friendliness. These 500,000 volt transmission lines will
be strung over houses, churches, parks, and schools, some as close as 70 feet to homes! This is unprecedented in our
country.
SCE says it’s safe. We highly doubt it. Many other countries ban this type of high voltage in this close a proximity to
humans because of documented risks of various cancers and other diseases due to the emission of EMF’s. We have an
approved alternate route, away from homes and people. However, SCE rejected it because plowing through the heart
of our city is cheaper and no one can stop them. Now, because of corporate greed, we the citizens of Chino Hills, will be
unwitting guinea pigs. We resent that. We didn’t move here to become a lab experiment.
What are you doing to help us, your constituents, the citizens of Chino Hills?
What will it take to get you involved to stop SCE from ruining our city?
Why have you remained silent on this matter? Do we, the people of Chino Hills not matter to you?
We URGENTLY need your support in this matter. We will remember those who stood with us on this matter come
election time, and those who didn’t. We’ve voted for you in the past, won’t you please support us now in our hour of
need?
