Senior Software Engineer
10/2000 - 06/2001
Electro Scientific Industries
Chanhassen, Mn
NT platform software to manipulate firewire based hardware for wafer inspection tools.
 Detect and align 300 mm wafers on a ‘workstation’ using an LED sensor.
 Map wafers in a cassette using a laser sensor.
 Perform coordinate transformations and motion control of a microscope inspection table.
 Apply MFC framework, multi-threading, synchronization and GUI concepts.
Graduate Research Assistant
01/1998 - 09/2000
University of Minnesota
Minneapolis, Mn
 Implementation of front view and rear view (mirror view) driver assisting display for a
moving vehicle in real time. Software implemented on 2 separate platforms – low level
graphics on Neutrino and OpenGL using MFC. Project involved PC 104 hardware based
serial port communication with Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) receiver,
inter-vehicle communication using spread spectrum transmitters and network
communication to access radar data and geographical information system. (Video demos
on home page).
 Evaluation and comparison of Honeywell and Andrews magnetometers for autonomous
vehicle navigation using real time operating system VxWorks.
 Teaching Assistant for the ME 5271 Robotics course. Maintained the class web page,
taught real time operating systems, graphics and networking concepts and helped students
with their course project. Gave a two-hour lecture on real time operating system concepts,
which was broadcast via satellite to classrooms in the industry.
Software Contract Engineer
05/1996 - 04/1997
Various
Pune, India
Wrote software in C/C++, FoxPro and AutoCAD/AutoLISP for –
 Design optimization problems, numerical solutions and development of fabricated parts.
 Accounting and payroll.
Mechanical Engineer
07/1995 - 04/1996
