Board Games
Board games are a great way for your whole family to spend time
together while also letting your child practice skills including counting,
turn taking, using manners and following rules.
Some suggested board games that can be found at your local toy or
department store include:
Tell-A-Story
Players have a character card that they are trying to match with the face
down cards. Using memory skills, the goal of part one of the game is to
have each player collect all 5 story cards associated with his or her
character card. After all 5 are acquired, have your child order the 5 cards
logically according to pictures on each or have your child choose the
order. After this, your child has to tell a story from beginning to end
according to the cards.
