• Obesity is a risk factor for cancer.
• Obesity/overweight is a/w low grade
inflammation and elements of the metabolic
syndrome including insulin resistance.
• Some phenotypically normal BMI individuals
share this identifiable pathophysiology.
• There are multiple opportunities for clinical
intervention.
