2015 Dragon’s Glen is open for entries
Initially we ask applicants to submit an application form and video pitch.
6 applicants will be shortlisted and invited to pitch at the semi-finals to the Dragons. The panel will
select up to 3 potentials who will be invited to present at the Ideas Week Awards ceremony on the
20th November where the winner will be announced.
There is a cash prize of £7500 and membership of Lochaber Chamber for 1 year.
The Application
Applicants are asked to produce a short video lasting no longer than 90 seconds and a written
application. In the application, you have the chance to sell yourself and your idea, and give a clear
and comprehensive outline of your business or product. What problem does your idea solve? What
stage are you at with patent or copyright protection? Where are you up to with prototyping or
testing? Describe sales, if your business is trading. Please supply any additional information you feel
may be useful.

Please note: Your information will be treated in the strictest confidence by the Chamber and panel
members and individual data will not be provided to any other party. All information provided is
subject to and will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, and will not be used
for any purpose other than assessing applicants to take part in the Lochaber Ideas Week Dragons
Glen competition.
Selection of Semi-Finalists - announced on 6 November 2015
After reviewing the videos and Business Proposals a panel of judges will select 6 of the best business
ideas. The 6 entrepreneurs will then be invited to the semi-final, where they will deliver a 3 minute
pitch followed by 10 mins Q&A.
The semi-final: during Ideas week on Thursday 19th November at 2pm
The Final, Friday 20th November 2015 8pm
3 lucky finalists will be invited to return for the final and present their pitch.
