2017 Parent/Spectator-Code of Conduct
Notice: This form is a required procedure for all parents and guardians to register their
child/children as a member/s of the Denville Blue Angels Football Organization. Failure to
agree to the terms and conditions written within this document will result in the rejection of
your child’s application to play the game of football for the Denville Blue Angels, Inc.
The following behavioral parameters are required for all parents and or guardians of children
participating as a member of the Denville Blue Angels Football Organization.












I will remember that children participate in football to learn the sport and about
teamwork and that the game is for the children and NOT for the adults. I will not
force my child to participate in any sport.
It will be my responsibility to monitor the behavior of my invited guest to any DBA
event.
I (and my guests) will be a positive role model and encourage sportsmanship by
showing respect and courtesy and by demonstrating positive support for all
players, coaches, officials and spectators at every game, practice or other sporting
event.
I (and my guests) will NOT engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct
including profanity or profane gestures. I (and my guests) will not criticize any
players, coaches, or fans by word of mouth or gesture.
I (and my guest) will respect the officials and their authority during games. I (and
my guest) will accept their decisions as being fair and final.
I (and my guest) will emphasize that winning is the result of good teamwork.
I will refrain from talking or coaching my child during games and practices, unless I
am one of the official coaches.
I (and my guest) will not do anything that would be detrimental to the team, the
league, league coaches or board members.
I will be responsible for getting my child to practice on time and picking my child
up on time.
I will be responsible for all my child’s equipment and uniforms. I will replace any
items that are lost, stolen or damaged.
I will respect the officials and their authority during games and will never
questions, discuss, or confront coaches at the game/practice field or gym, and will
take the time to speak with coaches at an agreed time and place.
I (and my guest) will demand a sports environment that is free from drugs,
tobacco, alcohol and will refrain from their use at all DBA sports events.
By signing below, I agree to abide to the aforementioned rules and guidelines. Failure to
do so will result in disciplinary action deemed appropriate by DBA board members vote.
Disciplinary action may include but is not limited to the following:




Written warning by the DBA board
Written warning by the DBA and a game suspension
Parent suspension, (ban) or immediate ejection from a game, several games or for
the duration of the season. Permission to return must be approved by the DBA
board members.
Parent and player suspension, (ban) or immediate ejection from a game, several
games or for the duration of the season. Permission to return must be approved by
the DBA board members.
I hereby agree that I have read and understand the Code of Conduct and will
abide by it.
