A team of the above four SIUE Industrial Engineering (IE) seniors won the first place with
$5,000 cash prize for the 2015 Other40 Business Plan Competition sponsored by the
Entrepreneurs’ Club of SIUE.
The team presented an interesting business idea promoting
entrepreneurial thinking with their new product called BADA (Brain Builder Game for Kids).
BADA is a brain builder game which helps development of math skills and memory of 7+
children. The game is based on the four operations of mathematics and memory. Thus, it
improves both side of the brain. Recent researches show that math-skill required brain builder
games are very beneficial for the elementary school kids. BADA aims to break the fear of math
by providing a slight competition between players, which improves their ability to obtain

success. While most of the brain-builder games in the current market are single-player games,
BADA is a 2-player game, which helps children develop communication skills.
In the current market, comparing to the other products, BADA has many advantages since it
is produced by using materials which are allowed in legal regulations. BADA can also compete
with existing market products with lower prices since high quality products are very expensive.
The game is a high quality product with reasonable prices comparing to the existing competitive
brain builder games. Considering cross-market share; BADA aims to reach the people with
Alzheimer disease by helping them keep their brain occupied and freshen up their memory.
