FRED MORLEY CENTRE FACULTY OF SCIENCE School of Animal & Veterinary Sciences Locked Bag 588 Wagga Wagga NSW 2678 Australia +61 2 6933 4479 +61 2 6933 2991 ABN: 83 878 708 551 Tel: Fax: Post Graduate Opportunities in Whole Farm Consultancy Looking to expand your skills? Working flat out but not going forward personally? Or perhaps you have an employee who needs some extra personal development to keep them interested? CSU’s School of Animal and Veterinary Sciences is now offering you a great opportunity! The new Whole Farm Consultancy option as part of their Postgraduate course in Animal Science is now available through the School’s Fred Morley Unit. Too busy, can’t get away from the business? No problems. The courses are by Distance Education, and you do them at your own pace. And much of the work is done with your own clients. Candidates enrol in a Masters in Animal Science (12 subject equivalents), but can exit with a Certificate (4 subjects equivalents) or a Diploma (8 subject equivalents). For most, the 3 subject Certificate will give participants the outcomes they require, although for those wanting more, it is there. A suggested time frame for the Certificate is a “subject” per semester, completing it over two years. The Certificate involves a core Whole Farm Consultancy subject and a “double” subject carrying out whole farm investigations on your clients’ farms. The final subject gives you the option of choosing a pastures subject, more on-farm investigations or post-grad statistics. This is a real hands-on approach course, where you get to put into practice the theory. Successful participants will receive a Certificate, Diploma or Master in Animal Science. Courses will commence in Semester 2, 2011 (July). The number of places offered will be limited each semester. Depending on demand, future intakes will be in Semester 1, 2012 and Semester 2, 2012.
