Called VTPBS Passport, the service is available via the web at VermontPBS.org, as well as on other digital platforms such as the PBS app, Roku, AppleTV and more. “We are delighted to unlock this online library of Vermont PBS programs, viewable on your schedule, not ours!” said Holly Groschner, President and CEO of Vermont PBS. “This means unprecedented access to the PBS treasure trove of quality storytelling, journalism and performance is available to all Vermont PBS supporters with monthly donations of just $5 or more. VTPBS Passport is another way for us to bring you Vermont PBS when and where you want it.” Today there are several hundred hours of content available to donors through VTPBS Passport. The library will rotate and continue to grow over time. Current titles include Downton Abbey, Wolf Hall and other dramas from Masterpiece, as well as favorites such as The Great British Baking Show, Nature, Great Performances, Nova, Earth a New Wild, How We Got to Now, local programs from Vermont PBS and many more titles. VTPBS Passport is also available to eligible Vermont PBS members when they identify Vermont PBS as their local member station on PBS.org, on the PBS Video apps for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, or on Roku or AppleTV. Staff member Julia Andrews advises new members to activate their VTPBS Passport account by going to vermontpbs.org/passport. Current members should have received a token to log into Passport via their email address, but can contact Member Services if they don’t have their token. VTPBS Passport is available to donors with a yearly contribution of at least $60. It cannot be purchased separately. PBS and Vermont PBS content will continue to be available by broadcast and on the Vermont PBS website, but the VTPBS Passport service extends the availability of programming content and reaches beyond current broadcast lineups.
