Used in the fluorination of organic 1 compounds, in flux for hard solder, to prevent unwanted fermentations, and for frosting glass. Solubility: Soluble in water (923 g/l @ 18ºC), liquid ammonia and hydrofluoric acid. Insoluble in alcohol unless water is 1 present. Storage: Potassium fluoride is hygroscopic. Store under a dry, inert atmosphere to protect from moisture. When stored as indicated the product is stable for at least 5 years.
