A tempo = return to the original tempo Presto = very fast
Accelerando (accel.) = gradually get faster Ritardando (rit.) or Rallentando (rall.) = gradually get slower/slow down TIME SIGNATURES Definition = a time signature tells the performer how many beats occur per measure and what note gets that beat The Top Number of a Time Signature tells how many beats occur per measure The Bottom Number of a Time Signature tells what note gets one beat = cut time, two beats per measure and the half note gets the beat = common time, 4 beats per measure and the quarter note gets the beat = 3 beats per measure and the quarter note gets the beat = 4 beats per measure and the quarter note gets the beat = 6 beats per measure and the eighth note gets the beat KEY SIGNATURES Definition = Indicates the sharps or flats in any key.
