The introduction of ‘temporary anchorage devices’ (TADs) represents an
unparalleled paradigm shift in the specialty of orthodontics! This course will
provide evidence-based information on the theory and practice of orthodontic
anchorage, and create the knowledge and comfort level necessary for
practitioners to treat a wide variety of indications with a high level of success.

The “Hands-On” workshop will present didactic elements and practical exercises
on simulation models that helps educate participants on how to place a miniimplant correctly and successfully, what specific biomechanics to use for three
common indications, and how to load and remove a tomas® pin. At the conclusion
of this workshop, each participant will be able to keep the patient simulation
model he or she personally created.
