Trig Chapter 6A day 1 Angles and their Measure
OBJ: - Sketch angles in standard position(degrees)
- Name coterminal angles (degrees)
- Convert between Degrees, Minutes, Seconds, and
decimal forms for Angles
From geometry: an angle is two rays with a common
endpoint.
In Trig we often use greek letters to name angles. This
angle is called theta. Others are alpha, and beta.

In Trig when we begin our study of angles we put the
angles on a coordinate axes. The initial side is the positive
x-axis, the the terminal side can be anywhere on the plane.
These are angels in "standard position"
Positive Rotations go Counterclockwise thus resulting in
a positive angle.
Negative Rotations go Clockwise which makes the angle a
negative angle.
