Congruent Angles Review
For our next chapter, we’ll use congruent angles all the time! So let’s review what we know about them…
Types of Angles that are Congruent:
A

X
B
Vertical angles
C
D
o Such as A&D or F&G
Alternate interior angles
F
E
o Such as D&E or C&F
G
H
Alternate exterior angles
o Such as A&H or B&G
Corresponding angles
o Such as B&F or C&G
Angles that we are simply told are congruent, using small arc symbols
o Such as H&X
All right angles are congruent to each other

These can be difficult to find in complicated figures, so let’s try a few!
In each of the figures below, name all of the pairs of congruent angles you can find. Remember, we name
angles using three points, with the vertex in the middle (such as ∠𝐴𝐸𝐵).
