210 N Santa Fe Avenue | Pueblo, CO 81003 www.sdc-arts.org | 719-295-7200 FOR RELEASE: January 18, 2016 Contact: Alyssa Parga, Marketing Manager 719-295-7211 | [email protected] Rapunzel Auditions for Grades K-12 held Monday, Feb 8 Missoula Children’s Theatre Holds Week-Long Residency at Arts Center (Pueblo, Colo.-January 18, 2016) An audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of Rapunzel on Monday, February 8, 2016 in the Jackson Conference Center of the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center from 4:15 pm to 6:15 pm. Those auditioning should arrive at 4:15 and plan to stay for the full two hours. There is no fee to audition, cast members will pay for the week-long workshop ($60 or $54 for Arts Center members) once roles are assigned. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a two-hour rehearsal immediately following the audition. Among the roles to be cast include Rapunzel, the Prince, Madame Gothel, Rapunzel’s parents, the Wood Elves, ears of corn and a potato, unicorns, pixies, gremlins, Billy Goats Gruff, a troll, three bears, a beaver, ogres and mushrooms. All students, grades K-12, are encouraged to audition. Auditions are free and no advance preparation is necessary. Assistant Directors will also be cast to assist with the technical aspects of the production. The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week 4:15 pm to 8:30 pm each day, length of sessions vary based on the actor’s role. The full length musical of Rapunzel will be presented on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center Theater.
