Brief Summary OF My Clinical EXPERIENCE:
1- Assiut University , Egypt
The eye clinic in Assiut University Hospital serves an average population of 15000000,
from Assiut and the Whole Upper Egypt. During my service in the department, I
covered general, as well as specialized clinics (glaucoma, medical retina, and cornea
and external disease). My duties included supervising junior colleagues in the clinics
and operating theater, as well as conducting teaching sessions (general
ophthalmology) for the 4th year medical students.
I joined the staff of Assiut University Hospital in 1995. My weekly duties in the
ophthalmic department included one operating theater session, five outpatient clinics,
and two teaching session. I regularly participated in the departmental educational
meetings, audit meetings, and regional scientific meetings.
2- Oregon Eye institute,Eugene,USA.and Casey Eye institute,Portland .USA
I did two-year ophthalmolgy fellowship in USA completing my MD thesis and extensive
clinical and basic research. During this fellowship I worked under supervision of Prof. I
Howard Fine who is one of the best cataract surgeons over the world. Also, I did a oneyear rotation in different ophthalmology subspecialties at Casey eye institute.
3- El Noor center for eye investigations,Egypt.
I worked for 3 years in this center which is the referral center for a huge number of
patients in the south of Egypt. I did a lot of Laser treatment, Biometry,
Ultrasonography, Automated perimetry.
