Photosynthesis Project Create an artifact that describes the process of photosynthesis and why it is important. This artifact can be any of the following: •
Poster (Includes both pictures and words. The quality should be high enough to hang up.) •
3 fold Brochure/pamphlet (Includes both pictures and words. All sides should be used.) •
Song/poem (must be written out nicely and performed for Mrs. Laycock) *You may work with a partner on this artifact choice. •
Children’s book (must be illustrated) Your artifact must include each of the following: 1. Describes the process of photosynthesis. (What is needed? What is the result?) 2. Describes where in the cell photosynthesis takes place. 3. Describes where the glucose goes after it is made. 4. Describes the four reasons why photosynthesis is important. (See the photosynthesis packet.) 5. Includes at least 4 other facts about photosynthesis that are not listed above. 6. It should be neat , colored, and include proper spelling and grammar. NOTE: Your photosynthesis packet or other resources can be used as a reference but you may not copy any part of that resource. (Use your words not the words of someone else.) Points The photosynthesis project will be worth 35 points. The rubric for grading of the project is listed on the next page.
