Glucose Polymer Module
Valens Carborie® is a readily absorbed glucose polymer
module produced by patented controlled depolymerization and
agglomeration of cornstarch. It is a medical nutrition supplement
suitable for providing extra calories to persons with increase
energy needs and/or to persons who are unable to achieve
sufficient energy requirements with normal diet.
Unlike other carbohydrate module, Valens Carborie® is low in
mineral & electrolytes, with low osmolality. It provides higher
caloric density without exceeding osmotic balance with lower risk
of osmotic diarrhea.
Valens Carborie® is instantised, quick disperse with excellent
solubility. It mixes readily with most feeding formula, food and
beverages.
Valens Carborie® is white in color and does not alter flavor of
formulas, foods and beverages.
INGREDIENTS
Valens Carborie® contains Glucose Polymers QD® produced
by patented controlled depolymerization and agglomeration of
cornstarch. It is certified HALAL and Kosher Pareve in USA.
Valens Carborie® is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by
USFDA as direct human food ingredients at levels consistent
with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP).
INDICATIONS AND USAGE
As glucose polymer module supplement in patients who require;
1) Additional energy in carbohydrate form.
2) Additional calorie in protein, fat and/or mineral and
electrolyte-restricted diet.
3) Lower risk of osmotic diarrhea.
MIX WITH LIQUIDS
Measure required amount of Valens Carborie® using given
measuring spoon. Stir Valens Carborie® into the desired
amount of feeding formulas or beverages with a spoon.
MIX WITH FOODS
Sprinkle and stir in desired amount of Valens Carborie® into
pre-mixed or prepared foods such as mashed potatoes, soups,
gravies, yogurt or oatmeal.
Used enclosed spoon to add recommended amount of glucose
polymer based on the nutritional information and individual
patients calories requirements. One level spoon holds
PRECAUTIONS
i) Not for parenteral use.
ii) Not to be used as sole source of nutrition.
iii) Use as directed by dieticians or other medical practitioners.
iv) For enteral use only.
STORAGE
To ensure optimum condition, covered can with over-cap and
stored in an odor free, cool, dry place once opened. Do not store
in a refrigerator. Once open, use content within 6 weeks if in
proper storage condition. After mixing or reconstituted, consume
immediately or covered, refrigerated and used within 24 hours.
SHELF LIFE
2 years from date of manufacturing.
PACKING
NET WT 350g
ADMINISTRATION
Valens Carborie® can be added to oral or enteral tube feeding
formula or food and beverages. It mixes easily with most feeding
formula, beverages, soups, gravies and other regular foods
without altering its flavour.

Longer glucose polymers reduce osmolality
and minimize potential for osmotic diarrhea.
