Sivantos will introduce its ear impression scanner iScan II at the "AudiologyNOW!"
conference of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) in Phoenix, USA. The new
version of the iScan, which has been popular for many years, has not only gotten
smaller, it also works faster and is even more precise. Hearing care professionals can
transmit ear impressions created with the iScan II independently of brands and
manufacturers. iScan II is integrated in the Sivantos eOrdering environment as well as
in the conventional industry management software Noah. The new software Connexx
Eight also saves time in the subsequent fitting of the hearing aids. Fine adjustments
made with this software are immediately synchronized with the hearing instruments.
The technical improvements for hearing aids have grown continuously in the last few
years. This increases the effort for hearing care professionals in selections and fittings.
The processes are now greatly accelerated with the new ear impression scanner iScan
II and the fitting software Connexx Eight. In connection with the advising tool
Counseling Suite, Sivantos supports the professional from the initial contact with the
customer through all process steps.

iScan II: Smaller, faster and more precise
Digital ear impressions form the basis for producing in-ear hearing aids and ear moulds
for behind-the-ear hearing aids that are customized to the individual ear anatomy of the
future wearer. Hearing care professionals worldwide enjoy using Sivantos software,
because the ear impression created by the iScan II can be provided independently of
the manufacturer. The now presented iScan II is not only smaller; it also works about
50 percent faster than its predecessor. The scan of an ear impression now takes only
60 to 70 seconds. The iScan II scans to a precision of 1/50th of a millimeter.
Afterwards, it takes only a few clicks to order the hearing instruments. When ordering
Signia or Siemens hearing aids, the entire process - from ordering to production to
delivery - can be followed seamlessly online. iScan II is integrated in the Sivantos
eOrdering environment as well as the conventional industry management software
Noah 3 and Noah 4, including the eOrdering browser and office automation integration.
In addition, all data are stored in the Connexx database and the scans can also be sent
by e-mail if needed.
Connexx Eight: Synchronizing in real time
At the subsequent fitting, the new fitting software Connexx Eight - a further
development of the successful Connexx software - supports the user in all related
steps. By now, most hearing impaired people are familiar with the graphics and hearing
models displayed in Connexx Eight for their individual hearing loss, because many
hearing care professionals are already using them during the consultation for selecting
the hearing devices.
The fine adjustments made in Connexx are immediately synchronized with the hearing
aids. As a significant change, the hearing care professional can now continue to do the
necessary adjustments without having to wait until a single step has been
programmed. This greatly improves and accelerates the fitting process. If the wearer of
a receiver-in-canal device - as for example of a Pure model with primax technology
presented at the congress - needs another receiver size, the settings are transfered.
Counseling Suite: Expert and flexible consultation
With the Counseling Suite consultation tool, the hearing care professional can vividly
clarify important questions about hearing loss, tinnitus, and the functions of the various

hearing aid models. By way of the gallery function, the hearing impaired person can
also be shown how he will look like while wearing the various hearing aid models.
Counseling Suite supports with the consultation, simplifies the process and increases
customer satisfaction. The program is available for Windows computers as well as for
Android and iOS tablets.
