ABOUT SOLAR PANELS
BNRG Distribution is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Irish renewable energy
development company ‘BNRG Renewables’, and the Dutch PV distributor ‘Solarclarity’.

Solarclarity is a specialised international distributor of PV products. It supplies installers
throughout Europe and the Caribbean with a select range of solar PV products. BNRG
Distribution combines the in-depth knowledge of the Irish market of BNRG Renewables
and the international distribution network of Solarclarity.
FROM SUNLIGHT TO ELECTRICITY
A solar cell is built up of 2 layers, with an electric field between them. When light
shines on the cell it influences the electrical field across the layers causing electricity to flow. The more intense the light, the greater the flow of electricity.

FROM DC TO AC ELECTRICITY
The inverter converts Direct Current (DC) into Alternating Current (AC).

POWER TO YOUR LIGHTS AND APPLIANCES
The inverter converts the electricity from the solar panels (DC) into power (AC)
that can be used by electrical loads inside your building ( TV, computer, etc).

GRID CONNECTED
In most cases solar electricity is not stored in a battery. It is used by the loads in
the building or flows back to the grid when there are no loads. When there is not
enough solar electricity, your building simply takes electricity from the grid.
BNRG Distribution is the first specialized PV distributor to be dedicated to the emerging
Irish Solar PV market.
