Partial Changes of Items Contained in “Statistical Data (JGB OTC Transactions)”
This is to notify partial changes of items contained in “Statistical Data (JGB OTC Transactions)” to
become effective from a publication in January 2014 as follows:
1. Abolish listing of chart related to comparison of JSCC clearing volume and overall trading volume
in the entire market(Note).
(“I. Clearing of JGB OTC Transactions (Acceptance of Settlement
Obligations), Analysis 1: Comparing with the entire JGB Market” in the current format)
(Note) The reason for this treatment is because of a doubt in an appropriateness of such data as subject of comparison as
JSCC clearing volume includes figures related to investment accounts and trust accounts of Registered Financial
Institutions, while overall trading volume in the entire market (published by Japan Securities Dealers Association)
does not.
2. With respect to JSCC clearing volume, add a chart showing breakdown by transaction type, i.e.,
Buy/Sell, Cash-secured Bond Lending Transactions and Repo Transactions.

OTC Transactions (Assumption of Obligations), 2. Clearing Volume by Transaction Type)
3. As to chart comparing JSCC’s settlement volume and settlement volume at the Bank of Japan, Face
Amount based value will be presented in addition to the existing value based on number of
settlements.

Number of JGB DVP Settlements at Bank of Japan)
