Over the years, he’s helped many people
with orthodontic problems ranging from
crowding, spacing, protruding “bucked”
teeth to uncomfortable bites.
Every day, Dr Gullotta sees the life-changing
shifts in his patients’ self-image and
confidence when they see their stunning

As a leader in delivering brilliant orthodontic
results, in 2007 Dr Gullotta became the first
Invisalign Platinum provider on the Gold
Coast. This treatment involves wearing a
series of clear, almost invisible aligners
which are changed every two weeks. Due
to the outstanding results he has achieved,
Dr. Gullotta has been asked to, and has
trained many dentists, hygienists and other
orthodontists in this advanced system.
Dr Gullotta is also a pioneer of the Damon
bracket system in Australia – a system that
uses sliding gates instead of rubber rings
to hold the wire in place which equates to
less force & friction. The advantage for you
is a shorter & more comfortable treatment to

Gullotta Orthodontics was founded by
Dr Nino Gullotta, a prominent Gold Coast
specialist orthodontist with more than 30
years’ experience in the field. He loves
treating children, but equally gets as much
joy and satisfaction in transforming the smiles
of adults.
He combines the latest state-of-the-art
advances in orthodontic techniques, materials
and technologies with a highly personalised,
warm and informative approach.
Dr Gullotta has a Master of Dental Science
(Orthodontics) from the University of
Melbourne. and is a registered specialist
in orthodontics with the Dental Board of
Australia.
His passion for orthodontics began after
working intensively with children who had

cleft palates and other cranio-facial problems
at the Brisbane Children’s Dental Hospital.
After undertaking full-time study, research and
clinical work in the field, he became a partner
in a Southport private orthodontic practice.
That was 28 years ago. Today, as the
principal of Gullotta Orthodontics, Dr. Gullotta
continues to maintain his commitment to
delivering world-class treatments to his
patients – with the support of his highlytrained team.
He is actively involved in the Gold Coast
Dental Study Group and has been a past
president and treasurer. He is also a member
of numerous professional bodies such as
the Australian Society of Orthodontists,
American Association of Orthodontists, World
Federation of Orthodontists and Australian
Dental Association.

State-of-the-art
treatments
Dr Gullotta combines the latest
technological treatments with his
extensive specialist experience
to give our patients world class
treatment and results. Recently our
clinic has introduced:
• Insignia custom braces, which use
advanced computer technology
for accurate planning and
forecasting of treatment results.
The technology also helps make
bespoke braces and custom-made
arch wires, allowing for better
results in shorter treatment times.
• Lythos 3D intra-oral video scanner,
used to create digital CADCAM type images of teeth. This
approach does away with the
discomfort of impressions and is
more accurate.
• AcceleDent, an intraoral device
that is worn daily for 20 minutes.
It uses patented technology to
gently vibrate the teeth and the
surrounding tissues. Early research
suggests it improves blood flow
around the teeth, resulting in
less discomfort, greater tooth
movement and shorter orthodontic
treatment times.
 Treatment for all ages
Any age is suitable for orthodontic
treatment. However, the Australian
Society of Orthodontists recommend
children should be assessed around
the age of 7. If there are obvious
signs of crowding or crossbite, your
dentist may detect a problem earlier.

DISCOVER
As each of our patients are different, we set time
aside to discover individual wants and needs. A
treatment plan can be as unique as a patient’s
smile, and so as part of Dr Gullotta’s comprehensive
clinical examination, he will listen to a patient’s
concerns and uncover any orthodontic or dental
concerns. Patients will undergo a detailed orthodontic
assessment, including X-rays and scans to help with
the assessment.
Discuss
Following the comprehensive examination, Dr Gullotta
will discuss and review all treatment options regarding
braces or aligners. He will listen closely to a patient
before offering his expert advice on the best course of
treatment, estimated treatment time, cost and other
vital information. The ultimate treatment plan will be
tailor made for each patient, taking into account their
wants, needs, circumstances and lifestyle.
