POST-DOCTORAL POSITION AT THE GERMAN CANCER RESEARCH CENTER IN HEIDELBERG, GERMANY Applications are invited for a post-doctoral research position in the laboratory of Dr. Ingrid Hoffmann at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, Germany. The post is part of a project characterizing the function of the cell cycle regulatory phosphatase Cdc25A in human cells. Cdc25A is required for two important transitions in the cell cycle, namly the G1/S and G2/M phase transtions. We have recently identified small molecules that inhibit Cdc25A phosphatase activity. They will be used for further characterzing the function of Cdc25A and investigating their suitability as a drug in cancer therapy. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in a relevant subject. Applicants should have experience in protein biochemistry and molecular biology. The position is initially available for one year with possible extension up to five years. Highly motivated Ph.D. scientists should send their curriculum vitae, publication list and arrange for two letters of recommendation to be sent by email attachment to [email protected] or by regular mail to PD Dr. rer. nat.
