Woodstock Chimes® Composer-Inspired Chimes Are “Masterpieces”
New, Finely Crafted Chimes Represent famous pieces by Vivaldi and Stravinsky
(Shokan, N.Y.) -- Woodstock Chimes®, a leading manufacturer of precision-tuned windchimes,
debuts its latest products with the introduction of its Woodstock Four Seasons Chime™ and Rite
of Spring Chime™. For nearly thirty years, famous composers like Mozart, Pachelbel, and
Brahms have inspired the Composers Series of Woodstock Chimes, and these two chimes are the
Series’ latest inductions. Each exquisite chime is tuned to one of history’s classic musical works
– the Four Seasons Chime replicates the final chord of Antonio Vivaldi’s 2nd movement of
Concerto #3, Autumn (from his The Four Seasons), and the Rite of Spring Chime highlights the
opening notes of Igor Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring.
“The Composers Series allows us to create products that both please the eye and capture the
sounds of the world’s greatest musical geniuses,” says Garry Kvistad, CEO of Woodstock
Chimes. “Being a seasoned professional musician myself, it’s an honor to be able to create
products that celebrate such incredible works of harmonious art, such as Vivaldi’s The Four
Seasons and Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring.”
Adding to the charm of the Four Seasons Chime is a colorful, nickel-plated cloisonné-inspired
windcatcher that features four icons, one representing each season: spring - a tulip; summer – a
sun; fall – a leaf; and winter - a snowflake. This meticulously designed chime, features four
silver anodized aluminum tubes, cherry wood accents, and measures 19.5 inches in length.
Woodstock’s Four Seasons chime retails for $30.
The classic design and look of the Rite of Spring Chime adds to the richness of the sounds it
emits. The chime’s lovely mantra, the opening theme of Stravinsky’s 1913 seminal work, The
Rite of Spring, is delivered by six silver anodized aluminum tubes. The chime features cherry
wood accents, measures 23.5 inches in length and retails for $48.00.
The company’s Composers Series is one Kvistad takes great pride in developing. His
background as professional musician, including touring with other GRAMMY® Award-winning
musicians as members of the percussion ensemble NEXUS, intensifies his passion for
developing precision-tuned products that commemorate some of the finest musical pieces ever
created.
