Standard form is writing the polynomial from the highest exponent to the lowest exponent.
Degree of the polynomial is the highest exponent from all terms

Adding and Subtracting Polynomials
Add only like terms which have the same letter and exponent
Rewrite all like terms under each other
Change all the signs in parentheses after a subtraction sign only
5. 2y + (4y - 3)
6. 3k + (2k + 4)
7. 9m + (-2m - 7)
8. (2x2 - 1) + (3x2 + 7)
9. (5a2 + 3) + (-7a2 - 4)
