Summary:
This program is designed to educate participants on potato production, storage methods, variety development, and manufacturing processes within our Food Division and
prepare you to take on a management role with Simplot. As a Management Trainee, you will learn about potato production, not by reading about it, but by participating in
the actual processes. The Management Trainee will be involved in all processes involved to produce quality potato products for the J.R. Simplot Food Group. This
includes variety selection, trialing various agronomic principles, sampling techniques, planting, growing, harvesting, storage management, and data collection. You will
receive periodic evaluations to monitor progress to ensure your understanding of the projects you participate in. The intent of this program is to give the Management
Trainee the basic skill set of an employee in the business. Trainees that excel in the program will be considered for future vacancies within the organization.
Education:
BACHELORS
Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college or university
Other:
Experience in Crop Production preferably in Potatoes. Other helpful qualifications (but not required) are a familiarity with the Spanish language, agriculture experience,
manufacturing experience or a work history in a related field.

Responsibilities:
Alongside Simplot mentors, spend a minimum of 12 months learning through hands-on and classroom experiences. Spend time in the field partnering with and learning
from the most knowledgeable people in potato production. Complete specific job duties as assigned while working with many different people and job titles to gain
understanding of various jobs in the Raw Product side of Potato Production. Get exposure to the manufacturing process of producing French Fries and other related
potato products.
