Viruses and Bacteria
Types of bacteria
There are many types of
bacteria. They can be categorized into two groups
though. These two groups
are eubacteria and archeabacteria. Archeabacteria contain organisms
like extremophiles. Eubacteria contain organisms
that make foods and
cause viruses.
Eubacteria
virus
What they are
Archeabacteria
What are Viruses and
bacteria? A member of a
large group of micro organisms that have cell
walls but lack organelles
or a organized nucleus,
including some that can
cause disease. Bacteria
and viruses are different
though. Sometimes bacteria can be good or bad
but viruses will infect and
attack your body.
Eubacteria
What is Eubacteria?
Eubacteria are unicelled nucleus lacking
organisms that are not
all bad but, some are
major pathogens.
Many eubacteria are
found in many viruses
and pathogens. These
cause them to be
thought of as bad
things. Many bacteriums in this category
are used in food.
Categories
Tiny organisms such as
these are everywhere. They live
in colonies like many other bacteria. Eubacteria can be separated into five phylums, Spirochetes, Chlamydias, Grampositive bacteria, Cyanobacteria,
and Proteobacteria.

Shapes
Bacteria come in
three main shapes. These
shapes are a cocci, a bacilli, and a spiral bacterium. Bacteria can also
come in shapes like a star
shaped bacterium or a
rectangular shaped bacterium.
Reproducing
Bacteria and individual bacterium do not reproduce through
mitosis. Bacteria reproduce
through a process known as binary fission. Binary fission is a process in which 2 separate cells are
created. Then through these two
create many more. Both cells will
divide into another two cells This
process will keep continuing. Bacteria cells approximately divide
into four separate cells every 20
minutes.
Spacecraft
One group of viruses attacks only bacteria. Many
of these look almost like a
spacecraft.
Influenza viruses are also
known as the flu. The virus is com-
monly confused with other influenza like illnesses such as the common cold, but influenza is a more
severe disease caused by a different type of virus. Influenza viruses
look like

How Viruses Reproduce
A virus can only reproduce inside a living cell that serves as
a host. A host is a living thing
where a parasite lives in, the
virus forces the host to make
viruses rather than healthy
cells. This type o reproduction
Treatment and preventions.
A way to prevent
viruses is through
vaccination.
Wash your hands regularly.
Take antiviral medication.
Archaebacteria
Prokaryotes that can
live in extreme environments are in the kingdom, Archaebacteria.
Archaebacteria is an
organism that can
live where no other
organisms can.
Three Types of Archaebacteria
There are three main types of archaebacteria. Archaebacteria including, heat lovers, salt lovers, and
methane makers.
Heat Loving Archaebacteria
Can live in many extreme places such as,
oceans and hot springs.
They can survive in
temperatures of more
than 250°C. These
types of archaebacteria
can also be known as
extremophiles.
All Archaebacteriums are singlecelled organisms. Archaebacteria can
make a variety
of protective
molecules and
enzymes.
Salt Loving Archaebacteria
Salt lovers like
to live in places with much
salt.
Salt loving archaebacteria
have many
names, but
one of the
most common
names is halophilic.
A couple of places that salt loving
archaebacteria
would like to live
would be, the
Dead Sea and
Great Salt Lake.
Methane Making Archaebacteria
Methane makers
give off methane
gas.
Methane makers
live in swamps
and animal intestines.
Diseases Caused By Bacteria
Bacteria can
cause many diseases. Some disease can be fatal, but some
can just be
bad for you.
Salmonella can
be one of the fatal diseases
caused by bacteria. Staphylococcus aureus is a
disease that in
some cases can
be fatal, but
mostly you will
just be hospitalized.
