Mythology Notes Greek vs. Roman Gods General • Greek and Roman gods were referred to as “Immortals” – a reference to the fact that they lived forever. • Immortals could be deceived or defeated even by mortals. • Immortals were open to the same vices as humans – greed, lust, hatred, love, joy and sadness. • Immortals in Greek and Roman culture were the same ones just with different names.
