IRREGULAR PLURALS
Although the plural of a noun in English is normally made by adding an s to the singular
form, there are a lot of exceptions to the rule. Since it is a little bit tricky to study all the
rules, exceptions and peculiarities of the irregular plurals by heart, here there is a list of
some peculiar / irregular plurals of names appearing in ‘Listening, comprehension and
note taking exercises on English for: Agro-Environmental Engineering, Food
Engineering and Engineering and Agricultural Science’ that you can study.
The first column corresponds to terms found in the listening exercises.
The second column corresponds to the plural form for each term.
The third column should be filled in by you to improve your vocabulary / knowledge.
