RE/MAX Main Street Helping Fight Breast Cancer
Your Town, TX – DATE – Amarillo’s own RE/MAX Main Street Realty is urging all

“Breast cancer is a disease that strikes home with many people in our community,
claiming lives and causing heartbreak for thousands of women and men annually
across the United States,” said Susan Smith, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Main Street.
“We’re eager to demonstrate our support by participating in the race, and hope
everyone in town will join us in one degree or another. The race begins at (time,
place).”
(insert any additional details about what you’re going to do)
The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation was founded on a promise made
between two sisters – Susan G. Komen and Nancy Brinker. Suzy was diagnosed with
breast cancer in 1978, when it was rarely discussed in public and little was known
about the disease. Before she died at the age of 36, Suzy asked her sister to do
everything possible to bring an end to breast cancer. Nancy kept her promise by
establishing the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in 1982 in Suzy’s
memory.
Twenty years later, the Komen Foundation is a global leader in the fight
against breast cancer through its support of innovative research and communitybased outreach programs. Working through a network of U.S. and international
Affiliates and events like the Komen Race for the Cure®, the Komen Foundation is
fighting to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by funding research
grants and supporting education, screening and treatment projects in communities
around the world.
For more information, visit RE/MAX Main Street, 12345 Elm Street, by calling

than 100 U.S cities. To learn more about Komen Race for the Cure® events in your
