LCM = 2 x 2 x 3 x 1 x 2 x 3 = 72
GCF = 2 x 2 = 4
Only divide with prime numbers
Start with a prime number that will go into ALL numbers.
The GCF is the product of the prime numbers that go into ALL numbers.
(If there is not a prime number that goes into ALL numbers then the
GCF is 1).
Continue with prime numbers that will divide into SOME of the
numbers.
Stop when you cannot divide anymore.
The LCM is the product of the numbers in the “L”.
