Designed for the accurate size determination
of double-stranded DNA fragments
• Two formats cover wide size ranges
Ladders contain fragments of defined sizes
(50bp to 1kb), resulting in regularly repeating
bands.
Markers are restriction digests of Phi-X or
Lambda DNA that cover a broad size range
(72 bp to 24 kb).
• Easy to use
Ladders contain a reference band at higher
intensity for easy determination of band size.
Free of dyes that may obscure visualization or
produce artifactual bands
Can be diluted into the buffer of choice prior
to use
