What is meant by “Mission Critical” and when do you need SpikeShield Power Line Conditioners?
Equipment is mission critical if a malfunction of the equipment creates safety issues, customer service issues,
or productivity reduction. SpikeShield™ Power Line Conditioners are specifically designed to protect today’s
sophisticated microprocessor based equipment from damaging power quality disturbances such as spikes,
surges, high frequency noise, and ground contamination. Microprocessors use the ground as a zero reference
point. If voltage or noise contaminates the ground the result will be lock-ups/latch-ups, bad data, lost programming,
and the degradation of the performance of the microprocessor. The power line conditioners from Hubbell feature
a patented technology that filters noise, stops spikes and surges, and guarantees you a clean ZERO GROUND
reference point for your mission critical equipment.

SpikeShield Power Line Conditioners for your mission critical, microprocessor based,
sensitive electronic equipment:
• Eliminates noise, interference, spikes, surges and other power disturbances that
could have damaging effects on today’s more sophisticated microprocessor based
equipment. Prevents circulating ground currents.
• Removes harmful ground spikes, ground noise and ground contamination while
maintaining a zero ground reference at each point of use for reliable data access
and transmission.
Twist-Lock
• Available in Straight-Blade, Twist-Lock®, Hard Wired, and Medical Grade versions.
• Available in 2A through 20A configurations.
• Power Line Conditioners are UL 1012 Listed for Power Supplies and cUL listed for
CAN CSA-22.2, No. 107.1 Power Supplies.
• Medical grade models are UL Listed under 544 Professional Medical and Dental
Equipment and cUL listed to CSA 22.2, No. 125 Electro-medical Equipment.
